The De Hoop Reserve is situated East of Cape Agulhas, a mere three hours’ drive from Cape Town on the world renowned Garden and Whale Routes – an ideal stop over en route from the Cape Winelands to Plettenberg Bay. It is in the Overberg region near the southern tip of Africa and can be approached from either Bredasdorp or Swellendam. The Overberg area is characterised by quaint towns, a blossoming wine industry and delicious local dishes.
The 36 000 hectares of De Hoop conservation area is a World Heritage Site comprising rich biodiversity and by over 70 kilometres of pristine coastline.
A 19 km vlei (wetland) stretches across the reserve, which is on the Ramsar list of Wetlands of International Importance.

Bonniedale is a 1650ha Fynbos farm, situated in the Attaquaskloof in the Outeniqua Mountains between Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn, surrounded by the Attaquaskloof Nature Reserve.

Guesthouse accommodation is in the thatched roof farmhouse built in 1890. Self-catering accommodation is available in a large chalet (Sleeps 16) and equipped caravans. There are tented sites, shaded camping sites, a lapa and hot/cold ablution facilities.

Secluded private sites with own ablutions, under-roof seating, solar power lights and gas burner are also available.

The Conference Hall is ideal for weddings, birthday parties, youth and church groups.

A large dam with flying fox (foefie slide), swing bridge, paddle boats and canoes.

To experience nature at it´s best, there are well maintained 4x4, horse, hiking and mountain bike trails, secluded rockpools in the river and Khoisan rock art sites.

The farm is also ideally situated for on/off road motorcycles and mountain bikes, with numerous daytrips from the farm.

Situated in Patensie, en route to the Baviaanskloof Wilderness Area, Ripple Hill Hotel is a 3-star establishment with a rich history where travellers and locals alike come together to enjoy traditional small town hospitality accompanied by great food.

Accommodation is reasonably priced (bed and breakfast) and comfortable. The extensive a la carte menu, for lunch and dinner, boasts flavour and quality. Fresh fish is brought in from Jeffrey’s Bay and the slow matured steaks are the owner’s pride and joy. The Hotel comes highly recommended.

An unusual escape and a completely different experience, this adult wooden treehouse is built in the boughs of an ancient sprawling red Karee tree (Rhus  Lancea). The dwelling is enveloped by the branches of a living tree, with lush vegetation and bush as a private garden
It is free standing and away from other guest accommodation on the farm, also making it naturally private. Just like all the other getaways, it is totally off the road and traffic cannot be heard. It can also accommodate a larger group in conjunction with the other dwellings on our farm
Equipped as a self-catering getaway with gas and electricity, the Tree House also has a newly installed enclosed fireplace making cold karoo winter nights warm inside. There is an outdoor braai area for starry summer nights and mountain views alike

Karoo Lodge suites are all equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, drinking glasses, ice-bucket, cold water flasks, a mini bar fridge (unstocked), ceiling fans, clock radios, 3 and 2 point electric sockets (220/30 AC) and hairdryers.

Situated at No 66 Church Street, one cannot miss the Karoo Lodge signboard enticing the weary traveller looking for true Karoo hospitality, quality, comfort and cuisine. Entering the town from the Cape Town/Johannesburg Highway (N1), having turned off at Prince Albert Road, Karoo Lodge is on your left. Drive through the gateway down the tree- and shrub lined driveway to the secure well lit parking area where you will no doubt be met by your hosts.
Each suite has a private entrance easily accessible from the garden and is beautifully furnished with comfortable beds, a lounge and a separate dressing area.
Bed linen is 100% cotton and both goose feather and down and anti allergic sponge pillows are supplied, together with bath sheets and toiletries.
The bathrooms are luxurious and very unique. Large corner baths and very large showers which have beautiful floors adorned with river pebbles from the area. All ceramics and faucets are of continental design and origin.

Take a trip on the Old London Bus, let yourself be summoned to dinner by trumpet, soak up the history in the Transport or Victoriana museums, take in the uniqueness of the Little Karoo with veld walks, hikes and mountain bikes, visit the Boer War British Army remount encampment site (c.1900) nearby, play a game of tennis or Petanque, or simply relax, and read in the hotel's opulent lounges or by the residents only pool.

The outdoor Sea Point Swimming Pool is 3kms away. The Metropolitan Golf course has been completed and upgraded to a 18 hole course and is a stone's throw away.
