Beyond the citrus groves in the sun-drenched, evocatively named Sundays River Valley, lies Elephant House. A proudly South African, family-run lodge filled with broad smiles, home-cooked meals and good old fashioned hospitality.

Take a trip on the Old London Bus, let yourself be summoned to dinner by trumpet, soak up the history in the Transport or Victoriana museums, take in the uniqueness of the Little Karoo with veld walks, hikes and mountain bikes, visit the Boer War British Army remount encampment site (c.1900) nearby, play a game of tennis or Petanque, or simply relax, and read in the hotel's opulent lounges or by the residents only pool.
In the fringe of the Great Karoo, the Lord Milner Hotel appears as if out of a conjurers hat – an authentic tribute to Victoriana, and the heart of Matjiesfontein Village

Clifton and Camps Bay beaches are 10 minutes away and we are on the "MyCity" bus route between Camps Bay and the Waterfront. 

Also within walking distance - Virgin Active gym, tennis and squash courts, the Metropolitan golf course, Sea Kayak tours and the oldest working Lighthouse in the country. The outdoor Sea Point Swimming Pool is 3kms away. The Metropolitan Golf course has been completed and upgraded to a 18 hole course and is a stone's throw away.
