A Beautiful guest house on the biggest date farm in the Southern Hemisphere, covering 18,000 hectares on the Orange River between Pofadder and the Aggenys mine. Enjoy the scenic drive between the Bushmanland and Namakwaland border on your journey the oasis of the Namakwaland.
They are situated at the start of the Namaqua 4X4 route to Vioolsdrift and the Richtersveld.
They are also close to the Orange River which is great for fishing, canoeing, river rafting, hiking, abseiling, rock climbing and picnics on the river banks. 4X4 Routes are close by.

Please note, Soebatsfontein is reached by a gravel road, and is not always in great condition; a 4×4 or high-clearance vehicle is recommended. The town does not have a petrol station, and the closest available petrol is at Kamieskroon, Komagass, or Koingnaas.

Kroon Lodge is situated in Kamieskroon, in the Namaqualand area of the Northern Cape, South Africa. The Lodge was developed on two stands which previously consisted of residential buildings and the old police station. All lights and fridges are solar powered and all geysers are gas fuelled in order to be environmentally friendly. Kroon lodge is wheel chair and animal friendly.
Kroon Lodge consists of 15 en-suite rooms, each with their own veranda which includes a braai area. Each room is equipped with a fridge, hair dryer and tea/coffee facilities. A curio shop with arts, crafts and local home industry also forms part of the lodge. We also have a small shop on premises where cold drinks, sweets, firewood, braai packs, etc can be purchased.

Die Blou Nartjie is a guest house and restaurant in the Hantam town of Calvinia, halfway between Cape Town and Upington on the way to the Kgalagadi. The guest house offers ideal accommodation for business and leisure travelers as well as families.
The guest house has 10 en-suite units, each with a private entrance. There are 3 units for families with younger children, each with a queen size bed and a bunk bed. These rooms each have an en-suite bathroom with a shower over bath.
There are 2 units for families with children over the age of 13, each with 2 queen-size beds in the rooms. The en-suite bathroom has a separate bath and shower. These rooms can be connected.
Furthermore, there are 5 double rooms, of which 3 rooms each have 2 single beds or a king-size bed. The other 2 rooms each have a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The rooms each have air-conditioning, selected DStv channels (hotel package), a bar fridge, tea- and coffee-making facilities and a hairdryer. Free WiFi is also available.
Secure on-site parking is available. The property has braai facilities and a splash pool for hotter summer days. We are pet friendly. Guests can sample true Hantam-Karoo lamb dishes in our on-site a la carte restaurant, open from Monday to Saturday until 18:30. The kitchen closes at 21:00. A delicious breakfast is served 7 days a week in the restaurant.
