Die Blou Nartjie is a guest house and restaurant in the Hantam town of Calvinia, halfway between Cape Town and Upington on the way to the Kgalagadi. The guest house offers ideal accommodation for business and leisure travelers as well as families.
The guest house has 10 en-suite units, each with a private entrance. There are 3 units for families with younger children, each with a queen size bed and a bunk bed. These rooms each have an en-suite bathroom with a shower over bath.
There are 2 units for families with children over the age of 13, each with 2 queen-size beds in the rooms. The en-suite bathroom has a separate bath and shower. These rooms can be connected.
Furthermore, there are 5 double rooms, of which 3 rooms each have 2 single beds or a king-size bed. The other 2 rooms each have a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The rooms each have air-conditioning, selected DStv channels (hotel package), a bar fridge, tea- and coffee-making facilities and a hairdryer. Free WiFi is also available.
Secure on-site parking is available. The property has braai facilities and a splash pool for hotter summer days. We are pet friendly. Guests can sample true Hantam-Karoo lamb dishes in our on-site a la carte restaurant, open from Monday to Saturday until 18:30. The kitchen closes at 21:00. A delicious breakfast is served 7 days a week in the restaurant.
