Namaqua Lodge is located in Vanrhynsdorp, in the heart of Namaqualand, 300 km north of Cape Town and 270 km south of Springbok. Thanks to our authentic Namaqualand hospitality and kindness, we have a high rate of returning guests.
Vanrhynsdorp is situated on the Cape to Namibia route and the Namaqua Lodge is positioned along the N7, making it a favourite for guests who want to stay the night and make a long journey more manageable.
Our central location means we are also popular with travellers doing business in the Matzikama and Namaqualand area. Nearby towns around Vanrhynsdorp include: Nieuwoudtville, Vredendal, Klawer, Lutzville, Nuwerus and Bitterfontein.
Namaqualand Flower Tours:
Our 4x4 bus flower tours are conducted exclusively at the beginning and end of our season. Due to the diverse and dynamic nature of our season flowers in abundance is not a given on this tour. But in a good year, you might just get lucky. However, the scenery and routes that we can travel on our 4x4 bus allow access to places less travelled to that ensure an amazing experience. these tours will depart and return to Cape Town and only offered as 4-day packages.

Kroon Lodge is situated in Kamieskroon, in the Namaqualand area of the Northern Cape, South Africa. The Lodge was developed on two stands which previously consisted of residential buildings and the old police station. All lights and fridges are solar powered and all geysers are gas fuelled in order to be environmentally friendly. Kroon lodge is wheel chair and animal friendly.
Kroon Lodge consists of 15 en-suite rooms, each with their own veranda which includes a braai area. Each room is equipped with a fridge, hair dryer and tea/coffee facilities. A curio shop with arts, crafts and local home industry also forms part of the lodge. We also have a small shop on premises where cold drinks, sweets, firewood, braai packs, etc can be purchased.

We offer nine self-catering chalets in total - 5 that sleeps two people and 4 that sleeps four people. All our chalets have private entrances, air conditioners, kitchenette, hairdryers, satellite television, and private patios and bedding and towels are provided.
We also have offer six camping sites with access to electricity and shared bathroom facilities with hot water.
All our accommodation offers plenty of safe onsite parking.
Upon request, a continental breakfast can be served in the dining room, which is also open to guests to help themselves to coffee or tea.

Traveller's Rest offers 29 cottages in total, spread over a huge area in wide open settings. The cottages are all delightful in their earthy simplicity and surprising in their homely, well-equipped comfort with en-suite bedrooms.
All the cottages have huge fireplaces for cold winter evenings and electric fans for hot weather. All the kitchens are equipped with cutlery and crockery, fridges, two plate stoves, kettles and microwaves.
Bed linen and towels are provided and an outdoor braai area (barbecue) completes the picture. Fire wood can be bought at the Traveller's Rest farm stall.
A shared swimming pool near the river and the restaurant brings relief after a hot day.
